Magnetron Sputtering

What is magnetron sputtering technology?
Magnetron sputtering is another form of PVD coating technology.
The principle of medium frequency magnetron sputtering mainly involves the collision of electrons with argon atoms under the action of electric and magnetic fields, which causes the ionization of argon atoms, generating argon ions and new electrons. These argon ions are accelerated under the action of the electric field to bombard the target material, causing the target material to sputter. The sputtered neutral target atoms or molecules are deposited on the substrate to form a thin film. In the process of flying to the substrate, the secondary electrons are affected by the Lorentz force of the magnetic field and are bound in the plasma region close to the target surface. The plasma density in this region is high, thereby achieving high-speed sputtering.
