JYY650 machine is suitable for hard coating. The equipment does not need to be too large, only precision is required to obtain its wear-resistant performance.
This equipment is equipped with a 160 large arc and a flat arc, and an ion source for DLC coating.
PVD hard coatings are used in the automotive industry in the following areas:
- **Engine parts**: piston rings, connecting rods, valve stems (CrN or TiAlN coatings reduce friction).
- **Transmission system**: gears, bearings (WC/C coatings improve fatigue resistance).
- **Decorative parts**: wheels, door handles (ZrN and other coatings provide metallic luster and scratch resistance).
Advantages of PVD coating
High hardness: Common coatings such as TiN (titanium nitride), TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride), TiCN (titanium carbonitride), etc., can reach a hardness of 2000-5000HV, which is much higher than the high-speed steel (HSS) substrate.
High temperature resistance: The coating remains stable at high temperatures (such as TiAlN can withstand more than 800°C), suitable for high-speed cutting.
Low friction coefficient: Reduce cutting resistance, reduce the risk of sticking, and improve chip removal.
Chemical inertness: Anti-oxidation and corrosion resistance, suitable for processing sticky materials (such as aluminum alloys, stainless steel) or difficult-to-cut materials (such as titanium alloys).
Environmental protection: The PVD process is pollution-free and meets modern industrial standards.

Nitride coating
**TiN (titanium nitride)**
**Features**: golden yellow, hardness of about 2000-2500 HV, wear resistance, oxidation resistance (≤600ºC).
**Application**: cutting tools (drills, milling cutters), molds, injection molding machine screws, medical devices, decorative coatings.
**CrN (chromium nitride)**
- **Features**: silver gray, excellent corrosion resistance, hardness of about 1800-2200 HV, high temperature oxidation resistance (≤700ºC).
**Application**: automotive parts (piston rings, gears), marine environment parts, food processing molds.
**TiAlN (titanium aluminum nitride)**
**Features**: gray-black, hardness of 3000-3500 HV, high temperature stability (≤900ºC), strong oxidation resistance.
**Application**: high-speed cutting tools (cast iron, hardened steel processing), aircraft engine parts.
**AlCrN (aluminum chromium nitride)**
**Features**: higher hardness (about 3000-3500 HV), high temperature resistance (≤1100ºC), thermal fatigue resistance.
**Application**: dry cutting tools, high temperature forming molds (such as aluminum alloy die casting molds).

Good coating uniformity and repeatability: The planar target has a simple structure, strong versatility, and good film uniformity and repeatability. This allows the thickness and uniformity of the film to be well controlled during the coating process, making it suitable for large-scale production and repeated operations
Easy to operate: The design of the rectangular planar multi-arc target reduces the cost of the entire coating machine and makes it more convenient to operate. A coating machine only needs to be equipped with one target, and the operator only needs to pay attention to the discharge of one arc source, which simplifies the operation process.
Large-area etching and coating: Since the cathode target is in the shape of a rectangular plane plate, the magnetic field component forms a rectangular magnetic ring track on the surface of the target, which makes the etching area large and the coating uniform area wide, which is suitable for large-area coating needs.
Cost-effective: The design of the rectangular planar multi-arc target reduces operating costs. A coating machine only needs to be equipped with one target, which reduces the complexity and maintenance cost of the equipment, and also reduces the burden on operators.
