Soft and Hard 316L stainless steel wire ,316L round rod
316L stainless steel wire is a high-performance alloy material with excellent corrosion resistance, good mechanical properties and processing performance, and is widely used in many fields.
The main components of 316L stainless steel wire include chromium, nickel, molybdenum and other elements. The precise ratio of these elements gives 316L stainless steel excellent comprehensive performance. Its ultra-low carbon composition design, especially the carbon content controlled below 0.030%, further reduces the material's intergranular corrosion sensitivity and ensures that the material can still maintain good corrosion resistance in harsh environments such as humidity, high temperature, and corrosive media.
The metal content of 316L stainless steel mainly includes chromium, nickel, molybdenum, iron, manganese, silicon, phosphorus and sulfur.
The content of chromium (Cr) ranges from 16.0% to 18.0%, which is one of the most important alloying elements in 316L stainless steel, giving it excellent corrosion resistance.
The content of nickel (Ni) ranges from 10.0% to 14.0%, and nickel can improve the strength and toughness of stainless steel.
The content of molybdenum (Mo) ranges from 2.0% to 3.0%, and molybdenum can further improve the corrosion resistance and heat resistance of 316L stainless steel.
Iron (Fe) is the main component of 316L stainless steel, accounting for about 65%~70%.
The content of manganese (Mn) and silicon (Si) is relatively small, usually below 1%, and these elements mainly play a role in improving material properties.
The content of phosphorus (P) and sulfur (S) is also strictly limited, with the maximum content of phosphorus ≤ 0.045% and the maximum content of sulfur ≤ 0.03%. These restrictions help improve the purity and performance of 316L stainless steel.
NOTE: If there are any chemical elements that cannot be used in your product application, please inform us when placing the order.
In addition to stainless steel wire, we also have
stainless steel rods.
316L stainless steel bar is a high-quality stainless steel material with a wide range of applications and excellent corrosion resistance.
316L stainless steel bar is a solid long strip of stainless steel material. According to the shape, it can be divided into round bars, flat bars, square bars, hexagonal bars, etc. The production process can be divided into three types: hot rolling, forging and cold drawing.
The metal content of 316L stainless steel bar mainly includes chromium, nickel, molybdenum, iron, carbon, manganese, silicon and phosphorus.
Among them, chromium and nickel are the main alloying elements of 316L stainless steel, which can improve its corrosion resistance and high temperature strength. The addition of molybdenum can further improve its corrosion resistance and heat resistance. The content of elements such as carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorus and sulfur is low and will not have a significant impact on the performance of 316L stainless steel. The content of iron is the balance, usually 0.08% to 0.15%.
